Understanding Microblading & Nanoblading

It is completely normal to feel unsure when choosing a semi permanent procedure, it is a big decision and natural to have questions.  Understanding how the treatment works can help you feel confident and reassured before booking an appointment, especially if you have heard stories or seen results that do not reflect today's advanced techniques.

Here are some of the most common myths I hear - and the truth behind them.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that microblading & nanoblading uses a blade that cuts or slices the skin.

In reality, the "blade" is not a blade at all - it is made up of a row of ultra fine, sterile pins.  These tiny pins are carefully guided across the surface of the skin to create delicate channels "hair like strokes" in the top layer of skin (the epidermis) Whilst doing this the pins are depositing pigment with every channel created.  The process is gentle, precise, and designed to achieve the most natural-looking results possible.

Myth: Permanent Brows Are Just Like a Traditional Tattoo

Modern brow techniques such as Microblading, Nanoblading & Nano Brows are very different from traditional body tattoos. The pigment is implanted much more superficially into the skin using specialist techniques designed for the delicate brow area.  As skin naturally renews over time, the pigment gradually softens and fades, which is why colour boosts are recommended to keep brows looking fresh and natural.

My Approach

I specialise in creating soft, natural looking brows using a precise One Pass Method.  Rather than repeatedly working over the same area, each hair stroke is carefully placed with accuracy to achieve beautifully realistic brows.

Your treatment is completed over two appointments.  During your first visit, I design and create bespoke brows using pigments individually selected to complement your skin tone, hair colour, facial features and more importantly if you have brow hair the hair strokes i create will need to blend in beautifully.

Your second appointment , 6-8 weeks later, is an essential perfection session where I assess healing, refine the shape or colour if needed, and reinforce the pigment to ensure the best possible result and longevity.

I use only premium quality pigments, sterile single use tools and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, ensuring every treatment is carried out safely and professionally.

Natural brows are my speciality, whether you are choosing, microblading, nanoblading or nano digital brows. I create realistic hair strokes that enhance your features - never harsh, heavy or block brows.

Please Note: A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any microblading, nanoblading or nan digital brows appointment.  A patch test can be carried out at a consultation.

FURTHER INFORMATION

PRE APPOINTMENT ADVICE

To ensure the best results from your upcoming appointment, please follow these guidelines.

Avoid alcohol and caffeine, including energy drinks, for 48 hours prior to your visit.

Limit sun exposure and discontinue the use of retinol face creams 3 weeks before treatment.

Additionally, refrain from receiving Botox and fillers in the forehead, temple, and eye area for three weeks before and after your treatment. Lastly, please avoid eyebrow tinting, threading, and waxing for up to two weeks prior to your appointment

DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

We will start by discussing your expectations as we did during your consultation, and ensuring you feel comfortable before proceeding with microblading/nanoblading.

I will measure your face and map your eyebrows to achieve the best symmetry possible. After choosing the right pigment for you and applying pre-numbing, you can lay back and relax—this is mostly a pain-free experience, although, some people may be more sensitive than others and feel a dull scratch at most. This is designed for your comfort. The entire process takes about 2 hours from start to finish.

AFTER CARE

Aftercare is an extremely important part of both microblading and nanoblading. It is essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided for ten days to ensure the best results.

During this time, your commitment to the aftercare process is just as crucial as my part as your microblading technician.

After the ten days, you can allow your eyebrows to heal on their own, but be sure to adhere to all the steps during the healing period for optimal outcomes.
