Contra-indications 

        Please note Susan CANNOT treat anyone who is:

  • Under the age of 18

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Skin disorders in the eyebrow area cannot be treated

  • Clients prone to developing keloid scarring.

  • Birthmarks/port wine stains cannot be tattooed over

  • Anyone who suffers from Haemophilla, Hepatitis, HIV, metal allergies.

  • Shingles-need to wait 6 months after an outbreak.

  • Contagious skin condition's - no treatment until completely healed.

  • If you are on anti-acne medication such as Roaccutane/accutane/antabase. You would need to be off the medication for at least 6 months before the microblading treatment and for at least 4- 6 weeks after the area has healed.
     

        Susan CAN carry out a treatment but with caution:

  • Anaemia - may need a 3rd top up

  • Anticoagulant - must obtain written consent from the doctor

  • Blepharoplasty - must wait at least 3 months

  • Brow/face lift -should wait at least 3 month’s

  • Cancer - must obtain written consent from the doctor, if undergoing radio therapy or chemotherapy, must wait 5 weeks before and after appointments

  • Diabetes - wait 6-8 weeks in between appointments

  • Epilepsy - need to be fit and seizure free for at least 2 years

  • Eye issues - wait 6 weeks after eye issue.

  • Herpes - no treatment during outbreak, medication should be taken 5 days before treatment and after

  • Hyper pigmentation - not to be tattooed on the darker pigmented areas

  • Ibuprofen/nsaids - only treat if haven't had a dose in the last 72 hours

  • Laser eye surgery - wait 8-12 weeks after laser eye surgery

  • Lupus - do not treat when a client is in a low faze, need written consent from the doctor

  • Mitral - valve prolapse - prone to fainting and take antibiotics before the dentist, you should do the same before microblading

  • Skin disorders - only tattoo if the disorder is elsewhere on the face

  • Steroids - these medications thin the skin can increase healing time so be cautious.

  • Thyroxine - makes the skin more sensitive

  • Vitiligo - can trigger the outbreaks of white patches in the skin

  • Warfarin/blood thinners - must obtain written consent from the doctor

  • Alopecia - may result in the body attacking against the pigment, so may need a 3rd top up

  • Anti-inflammatories - such as ibuprofen, nurofen and diclofenac can thin the blood and you may bruise easy and might need a 3rd top up. If you need a painkiller before treatment you should opt for a paracetamol

  • Blood pressure medication - high and low blood pressure tablets should not be a concern client just need to stand more slowly from the treatment bed

  • Blood thinning medication - medications such as aspirin thin the blood, be aware you may bleed more easily and may need a 3rd top up
